Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government is meditating on the reopening of lower and above elementary schools in the state after monitoring the higher middle class situation that has been opened.
The Office of the Minister of State Education, Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi in a statement on Sunday said the government of the powerful DMK would monitor the situation of higher secondary students for eight days and then receive elementary school back calls, possibly on September 8.

Stalin will make a decision about the reopening of elementary school after discussing with the Ministry of Health officials, including senior doctors and other health professionals, Poyyamozhi added.
Input from the State Education Department and local body members will also be considered before the decision is taken.

Minister Tamil Nadu in a statement said nearly 800 medical professionals were being deployed across the country to monitor and supervise to ensure the security of teachers and students.
This has been done after several schools in the state reported positive Covid cases for students and teachers.
The State Education Department has closed space for students who test positive Covid-19 after sanititiation and shifted to another class.
The Ministry of Public School Education also promotes the English class among students to increase student skills in language, the statement is added.
