Stalin shifted the 18th day of July, drawing flares from PMK

Chennai: Head of Minister M K Stalin on Saturday announced that July 18 will be observed as the Tamil Nadu day.
He also said the state government would present RS1 lakh cash each to 110 ‘border savings’ on November 1 to respect their struggle to protect the Tamil Nadu border when countries were formed on the basis of linguistics in 1956.
In a minister’s statement said the former The Chairperson of the CN Minister Annadurai has transferred the resolution on July 18, 1967, to change the name of the Madras country intent to Madras as Tamil Nadu.
“The state government will soon issue orders to observe July 18 as Tamil Nadu Day,” he said.
The AIADMK government Edappadi K Palaniswami has previously announced in 2019 that November 1 will be observed as Tamil Nadu Day, because today these countries are reorganized.
Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala were formed after being separated from the past Madras presidency after the enactment of the State Reorganization Act, 1956.
In a statement, the leader of PMK S Ramadoss said the announcement of the minister’s head was unacceptable.
“July 18, 1967, the day when the movement was moved in assembly for name changes and January 14, 1969, the day when the law came into force.
These days it can be celebrated separately with the appropriate name given their significance but cannot be observed as Tamil Nadu Day.
1 November 1956, on the day when the state boundaries are determined to be observed as Tamil Nadu Day, “said Ramadoss, adding that the current confusion is not necessary when a lot of work is required for the welfare of the state.
