Coimbatore: The government will handle sexual and psychological harassment of children with iron hands, said Minister M k Stalin in the day of children’s desire on Sunday.
“Let’s create a safe environment for children and help them overlook the world without fear.
Protecting children is a combined effort from the whole community,” he said while calling everyone to join hands for the same thing.
The statement contradicts the background of suicide a class XII class students who are sexually harassed by their teachers.
Instalin has tried to send a strong message to crimes against children and silence BJP.
A group of BJP cadres have protested in the city which demands hard action against teachers and school management.
Meanwhile, Makkal Needhi Maiam has urged the state government to form committees, parents and psychologists in all schools and colleges.
