In the midst of a raging row between the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Tollywood over the price of movie tickets, Megastar Chiranjeevi summon Chief Minister Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy at Amaravati on Thursday.
At the invitation of the Chief Minister, Chiranjeevi had a meeting with him at lunch at the official residence of the last in Tadepalli here.
After reaching the Gannavaram Airport by a special flight from Hyderabad, a popular actor and former central minister drove straight to the house of the CM.
After the meeting which lasted for half an hour, the actor told reporters at the airport that Reddy responded positively to the issues raised by him on behalf of the film industry, exhibitors and theater.

Pursuing a fruitful meeting, Chiranjeevi hope all problems will be resolved in a manner acceptable to all.
Chiranjeevi said the Chief Minister assured him that a mutually acceptable decision will be taken.
Citing Chiranjeevi Reddy said that he would not take a unilateral decision.
CM also assured that there is no need to feel unsafe.
Reddy told Chiranjeevi that he would convey the concerns raised by him to the Committee suffered by the government, and a draft will be prepared after Chiranjeevi where he will be invited again to consult prior to the issuance of government orders.

The actor said he would discuss the draft with all stakeholders in the industry, and he will be happy to take them to meet with prime minister next time.
Chiranjeevi also appealed to all in the industry to avoid the issuance of a statement on this issue.
“I made a request not as Elder industry, but as a son of the industry,” he said.
Meeting and Chiranjeevi appeal comes amid bitter words between some personality and Minister cinematography Perni Tollywood Nani and YSR Congress party leaders in power.

Some producers, actors, exhibitors and theater owners has slammed the state government for slashing the price of a movie ticket, which has led to the closure of several theaters.
Chiranjeevi said he considered Reddy of concern all after the uncertainty that prevailed during the last few months.
He says Reddy invited him because he wanted to hear the other side of the story.

While respecting the government’s intention to create an affordable entertainment for ordinary people, Chiranjeevi said the problem the film industry, exhibitors, and other theater owners.
“The film industry is not only glamorous or rosy as they appear.
There is the hard work of many workers behind.
The majority of them work on daily wages,” he said.
The actor recalled that during a pandemic, many workers suffer a lot for four months because they did not get any job.
He said it was the same, at the cinema workers worried about losing jobs because of the closure.
He claimed that the Chief Minister also responded positively to allow the theater has five performances on special occasions.

Chiranjeevi said he was giving constructive advice and the Chief Minister wrote a few points.
He hoped the draft would come in a week or 10 days while the end of the government order will be issued within 2-3 weeks.
