Dublin: Kevin O’Brien’s Rapid 60 helped see Ireland for the victory of seven goal over Zimbabwe at the second international twenty20 in Dublin on Sunday when the host prepared a five-match series at 1-1.
O’Brien, most famous for reaching hundreds of the fastest in the history of 50-over the World Cup – only 50 balls against England in Bangalore in 2011 – in a subtle form when Ireland returned to various ways in the series.
Part of their preparation for the T20 World Cup that will come in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
The 37-year-old appetizer hit seven four and six for 60 rounds of the round on Sunday, and together with Paul Stirling sharing the 59 seat for the first goal when Ireland chased the target of 153 with nine balls.
George Dockrell made sure there was no repetition of three-run Ireland losses in the opening series opening, also in Dublin, with 33 invincible balls.
