Hyderabad: With sufficient reserves and the availability of Covid 19 vaccines in this country, Chief of Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao direct the Ministry of Health to vaccinate three lakh people a day by taking special vaccination drives in the state for further prevention of Covid.
CM held a review of Covid 19 cases along with health officials in Pragati Bhavan on Sunday.
Officials notify that while there are 2.80 crores of people over the age of 18, 1.42 crores, people have received a single dose of vaccines and 53 lakh has vaccinated the second dose.
1.38 Crore again has not received a single dose in the state.
KCR directs officials to involve all representatives of local bodies such as Gram Panchayat Sarpanches, ZPTC, MPTC, village secretaries, members of the environment to take special drives.
“Gram Panchayats Sarpanches has done a good job during locking by providing a food center and isolation.
They must take a proactive role in this drive too,” he said.
He also asked the Head of Secretary Somesh Kumar to make arrangements for special vaccination drives by holding a meeting with a collector.
“Schools, colleges, Rythu Vedas, government and private buildings can be used as a vaccination center,” CM said.
The health department official also ensured that there was no need to panic in the case of Covid 19 in educational institutions after reopening the school and college.
CM instructs officials to make arrangements needed for oxygen beds and other beds to face any possibility in the future.
Until now the state government has given priority for irrigation and agriculture, then the focus must also be given to the health and education sector.
“The newly proposed medical college and a super special hospital must be completed at the start and two towers must be built in the place of NIMS,” he said.
Officials said while there were 2.80 crorses over the age of 18, 1.42 Crore had received the first dose of vaccines and 53 lakh had got a second shot.
1.38 other crores have not received their first dose in the state
