COLOMBO: Former Sri Lanka captain and legendary batsman Aravinda de Silva has requested the federal group cricketers to”begin winning games as opposed to whining” since he defended against the suggested yearly players’ contracts prepared by the committee .
De Silva said that the gamers’ rejection of their fundamental contracts has been”unfair”, since the Board is providing more for winning run against top-ranked opposition.
“it’s quite unjust that our players state they aren’t agreeable to the strategy.
The most significant truth is that they should enter the center and play guitar and begin winning matches for the nation as opposed to complaining.
“This optimistic attitude will motivate us to think about giving them more advantages, such as a number of those other nations in our area,” de Silva has been quoted as saying with’Daily News’.
Last week, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) stated that 24 of the top players were given contracts under four classes plus they were extended a deadline before June 3 to register on dotted lines.
Just six players are now in class A and their yearly cover ranges between USD 70,000 to 100,000.
