Starting today, a unique ID that will be made for 4L workers

Gurgaon: District administration will begin the process of making a unique ID card for all types of workers in the unorganized sector from Wednesday.
Under the project, Gurgaon has set a registration target of 5 lakh workers.
For registration, the Ministry of Labor Trade Union and the work will launch the portal on Wednesday.
Unique ID cards for unorganized sector workers will be similar to Biometric Aadhaar and Parivar Pehchan Patra by the state government.
The registration process will be carried out at 700 Atal Seva Kendra’s in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Yash Garg said, “Unique ID cards from around 5 lakh disorganished workers who work in various sectors in the district will be made.
The work will be carried out in a planned way so they get their ID on time.
Registration of all workers will be free and the government will bear the RS 16 per card to the Atal PLPS Seva Kendra.
However, if the applicant needs to update other details later, then he must pay a fee.
“Small farmers, workers engaged in the agriculture sector, fish sellers, masons, domestic workers, traders Five feet, newspaper vendors, carpenter, plumbers, rickshaws and automatic pedicab operators, MGREGA workers, migrant workers, Asha workers, vendor tea and others not related to any organization can obtain unique IDs.
Anyone who is between 16 and 59 can apply for IDS.
“At the time of registration, the applicant must have aadhar card number, bank account, and cellphone number.
Applicants should not have a PF account and ESI.
The applicant should not be a member of an organized group or organization,” said the manager of Deepak District.
According to officials, unorganized workers will get the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Surakha Bima Yojana as soon as their ID is made.
Expenditures will also be borne by the government for a year.
“After identifying the unmeg-organized labor categories, the social security scheme can be easily implemented,” the official said.
