Mumbai: Although low voters for Covid vaccination on Tuesday, Maharashtra became the first country in the country to complete four doses of crore vaccination.
“Maharashtra today again set a record in preventive Corona vaccination and crossed a 4-crore sign.
A total of 4,00,24,701 vaccines have been managed in a state so far,” said Secretary (Health) Dr.
Pradip Vyas.
The total number of residents who took the first dose was 3.06.99,339, while 93.52.362 was fully vaccinated.
“About 1.2 lakh people are inoculated throughout the state until Tuesday afternoon and this number can increase until evening,” added Dr.
Vyas.
Countries usually vaccinate three to four lakh people every day, but sources say voters are less than two lakh on Tuesday due to low vaccine availability.
Even Mumbai, who saw 70,000 plus a jat on Monday, only saw 42,483 on Tuesday.
While 14,262 took a free vaccine from the center of BMC, 26,257 taking a paid vaccine from private centers in the city.
However, state officials said that drives vaccines will continue with available stocks.
“We have asked the district with shares to continue vaccination,” said the State Immunization Officer Dr.
D Patil.
Regarding Maharashtra’s low voters for Covid vaccination, Director of Health Services Dr.
Archana Patil said, “We provide a vaccine according to the supply received from the Indian government.”
