Bhubaneswar: The Department of School and Mass Education has published a standard operating procedure (SOP) to deal with cases of fake certificates.
If there is to be found false certificates submitted by the school any immediate steps will be taken to file the FIR against the persons concerned.
Any disciplinary action will be taken to release / dismissal after the procedure due.
The officials, those who will be found responsible for the illegal activities of those teachers and those who will be found in dereliction of duty in doing proper verification for candidate engagement process with fake certificates, will be taken.

He should be dismissed, or services must be terminated with the investigation.
In any state, any other penalty imposed, he added.
It has been observed that the disciplinary proceedings in this case took a long time and those who have secured employment based on false certificates go to enjoy the benefits of government services instead removed / dismissed the earliest.
Sahu said disciplinary questions involving this issue should be resolved within the time bound.
He also asked the officers to follow standard operating procedures in handling cases of forged certificates.
According to the SOP, the Board of Directors or DEOS / BeO must conduct an investigation after receiving a petition from the public or information from authorities.
They should write to the board / university related to the verification of the certificate.
If necessary, some of the responsible officer may diularasikan related to the authority issuing the certificate.
If the certificate is genuine, the file should be closed immediately.
If the certificate is found to be forged, then the records of cases opened on initiating disciplinary proceedings against teachers / employees concerned.
In that case, any other charges of omission / commission if found against the same employee then separate process can be done for the other irregularities.
As a regular employee, the same principle will be observed if the contractual employees as well.
Filing firs in the police station for a criminal offense will run separately, according to SOP.
