Ernakulam has been affected by more than 10,000 cases reported in one day.
The number of active cases also crosses above three lakhs in the state.
On Friday, Kerala reported 54,537 positive cases of 1,15,898 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
With 13 deaths again in the last few days recorded as Covid death and 81 deaths added from the appeal received, the dead victim had risen to 52,786.
