T’puram: The country witnessed 4,972 positive Covid cases from 60,265 samples tested in the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
Among new cases detected, 4,354 people have taken vaccinations and 1,470 people tested positively that day have not taken a single dose.
However, 2,278 people among new cases were those who had taken vaccine doses.
The current total active case is 52,710, where 7.4% of people are accepted both in hospitals or in other treatment centers.
Meanwhile, 57 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid, took the death toll in the state to 38,045.
At the same time, 5,978 patients recovered from infection that day.
Among new cases, 4,576 people have been infected through local deployment.
Infectious contact sources cannot be traced to 344.
There are 35 health professionals among those infected and 17 people arrive from outside the country.
Thiruvananthapuram with 917 reported the highest number of cases, followed by Thrissur (619), Kozhikode (527), Kottayam (476), Ernakulam (469), Kollam (383), Kannur (270), Palakkad (238), Palakkad (238), Palackad (238)), Wayanad (212), Idukki (206), Alapapuzha (169), Malappuram (135) and Kasaragod (60).
The number of patients tested negative is Thiruvananthapuram (921), Kollam (353), Pathanamthitta (508), Alappuzha (229), Kottayam (264), Idukki (89), Ernakulam (1,064), Thriskur (514), Palakkad (514) , 330), Malappuram (191), Kozhikode (729), Wayanad (262), Kannur (376) and Kasaragod (148).
There were a total of 1,84,581 people currently observing in various districts where 1,79,531 were in their homes or institutional quarantine centers and 5,050 in isolation in hospitals.
In accordance with the weekly infection population ratio, 46 wards in 39 local bodies have more than 10% WIPR.
On this ward, strict limitation locking has been implemented.
