Ranchi: The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) led by the Head of Minister of Hemant Soren has enabled the return of school in 17 districts from Tuesday but only allowed to open a higher part of class IX and on it in seven districts which quoted a daily surge in Covid -19 case.
Seven districts include Ranchi, Bokaro, Singhbhum Timur, Deoghar, Seraagela, Simdega, and Chatra.
Colleges and universities are left to run normally according to their convenience.
“We chose to stay at the edge of the school in seven districts because cases in these districts were still on the higher side,” said Minister of Health-Cum-Disaster Management Department, Banna Gupta, added that calls would be taken after several reviews Day later.
Other sectors that are completely locked include gymnasium, stadium and cinema.
Gupta, however, said the current sidewalk on the 8PM post market will continue.

Recorded economists and social activists Jean Dreeze also, last week wrote a letter to CM which expressed his concern over the closing of the school.
