Trichy: Statue of the Social Reformer 95-Foot-Foot Periyar E V Ramasamy and many educational and entertaining facilities such as libraries, research centers and the candle museum are scheduled to rise 27 hectares in Siruganur on the outskirts of Trichy.
Periyar Self-Respect The Propaganda Institute (Periyar Trust) will immediately start construction work at the 100-crore EDUTAINMENT facility along the Trichy-Chennai National Highway.
The state government has given permission to establish a recent statue.

According to the leaders of the Dravidian movement, the statue will have a 40-foot base, making it a stand at a height of 135 feet of the surface.
After being assigned, the statue will be the highest in the state, beyond the statue of Valluvar (133 feet) in Kanyakumari.
The committee said the statue might have an elevator facility for the scale of the entire structure.

Located in Trichy-Chennai NH, which is an important link for Tamil Nadu Middle and South with Chennai, it will have a public park for children’s courts and food, the committee said.
