New Delhi: Nitish Kumar, who has been looking for a special status category for Bihar for a long time, still does not have a guarantee from the center even though the party, Janata Dal (United), is now part of the powerful BJP LED alliance.
The center is once again indicated in parliament that it does not consider the status of special categories for Bihar, even when the country has been ranked the worst in the goals of Niti Aayog (SDG) Sustainable Development Index India 2020-21 report.
In his promise to question by JD (U) Rajiv leader Ranjan (Lalan) Singh in the status of the specialty category for Bihar, Union Minister Rao Inderdeet Singh quoted the fourteenth financial commissions recommendations to suggest that special category country tags would not produce a lot of differences.

The five best performing countries on the list of Niti Aayog SDG are Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Goa in that order.
Five lower states in the list include: Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan.
