Mumbai: For the third day in a row, the city enrolled more than 20 deaths, forcing Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to call for this death audit.
On Friday, 673 cases and 27 deaths were reported in Mumbai.
Considering that daily deaths have dropped to one digit a few weeks ago, Spurt suddenly had a BMC health official who was worried.
Friday toll road from Coronavirus is the highest in 23 days.
“I have asked for complete details of all these deaths because we are worried that many of these victims may have been transferred from private hospitals to the public in their last moments,” additional Commissioner of BMC Suresh Kakani.
He said that patients might have lived in private hospitals until they had money to pay bills and then have been transferred to public centers.
“The patient’s health parameters may be very bad, and they can give up after that,” he added.
Kakani said that there was no fear of an increase in the level of infection because the daily level of peposititives in the city was low.
“Despite doing more than 38,000 tests, we get 600 positive cases every day,” he said.
Meanwhile, the country reported swimming in Covid-19 cases and death on Friday.
There were 8,753 cases and 156 deaths in Maharashtra, took the total case of the country to 60.7 lakh, and death reached 1.22,353.
The Minister of Health of the State Public Rajesh Tope said that the state government is currently preparing for the third wave and also focuses on as many vaccinations as possible.
“The state has enough capacity to vaccinate 10 lakh people a day.
The only thing that stops us is the availability of vaccine doses.
If we can vaccinate a large number of populations in the next two months, we can reduce the third wave severity of Covid-19 to Mostly, “Tope said.
He also said that the state government will budget between 1,500 crore and 2,000 crore to keep the hospital ready for the next wave in the upcoming Monsun session of the legislature.
He also said that there must be concern about some districts where cases are still high, and the districts have been asked by the government to continue their supervision.
