JAMSHEDPUR: More than 50 Puja Samisis in Jamshedpur celebrates low Chaturthi Ganesh on Friday while holding on Covid control steps.
The celebration will continue for the next few days but the Puja organizers say there will be no big meeting and they ensure that the safety protocol is not violated under any circumstances.
“Puja will be held for the next three days but we will not arrange cultural events in those days because they can cause meetings,” said President of the Jagriti Singh President.
Bala Ganapati Vilas Samiti (BGVs) held 103rd Ganesh Puja and the celebration will continue for the next nine days.
“The priests will do rituals on all nine days in accordance with the Covid-19 guidelines,” said Secretary General BGV Anjaneyulu Rao.
In Chaibasa, Samiti’s oldest in the state, Shankar’s shiv boy club, did not organize his fair culture for the second year in a row in view of the pandemic.
However, Puja is taking place as usual in Overbridge in Tungri.
MP and President Congress Congress Geareta Koda inaugurated Puja on Friday and also offered his prayer.
In Adityapur, the young boy’s club organized Puja who was inaugurated by the sound of the founder of Singh’s Humanity Outfit.
Meanwhile, unlike last year, this time the idol maker made good luck selling Ganesha idols.
“Last year, there was no sale but this year the business was encouraging,” Idol-Maker Manas Kumbhakar, who received a fairly handsome amount of selling idol ganesha in Kadma Market on Thursday and Friday.
