Steel City Cops NAB 64 people, seize great drugs for 6 months-long trips

JAMSHEDPUR: City steel police have arrested 64 people and confiscated more than 400GM brown sugar and more than 63 kg of marijuana during the trip for six months against drug trafficking from January to June.

“During the past year, on the average, six addicts, including alcoholics and drug addicts, have visited our center every day for counseling,” said Coordinator CIC Kumar Kumar.
He said that from 20 addicts now admitted in the middle, 12 were in the age group 18 to 30 years.
“Some addicts also pamper small crimes to regulate drug funds,” Kanchan added.
Dr.
Mahesh Hapesh, who specializes in alcoholism addiction and drug addiction, said mental pressure caused by various types of losses, both financial or personal, as long as Covid is also one of the factors that encourage contraband consumption in the city.
“Stress related to Covid has contributed a little in encouraging young people to addiction,” he said.
He added that every month, on average, 30 people who suffered drug addiction came to him to help.
