The epic game versus Apple Trial reveals more detail about Apple’s past than before.
Recently, it was revealed that the Head of Apple Marketing Phil Schiller suggested reducing the App Store commission charged by Apple from 30% to 20%.
This information was revealed from a 10-year-old email presented by Epic Games.
Now, in another interesting email revealed by the threshold, Apple plans to launch “iPhone Nano”.
Steve Jobs is actually interested in launching a smaller and cheaper iphone 4 version in 2010.
Email does not reveal much about the iPhone Nano but according to the threshold, “there is a bullet for” iPhone Nano plan, “A sub-bullet for” Cost.
” and other sub-bullets that show that “Jony,” rather former Apple Jony Ive design head, will “show a model (and / or rendering).” This report added that it was a pointer that said: “Create a low-cost iPhone model based on iPod Touch to replace 3Gs.
Now, this device can be an iPhone or other device.
For the iPhone, Apple has used “mini” branding while “Nano” reminds us of the iPod.
Work reportedly also spoke in his emails about the expected “Super Nano” device “to become an enhanced iPod nano version, which was on track to release in the first half of 2008.” Meanwhile, in another email, Schiller asked if Apple could continue with “70/30 split” forever.
Split refers to a cost of 30% subject to Apple developer fees for paid applications, purchases are carried out in the application along with subscriptions.
While Schiller explained that he was a “loyal supporter” of the fee, he was not convinced that the cutting of 30% could remain “unchanged forever”.
The epic game has dragged Apple to a court that claimed that Apple anti-competitive rules and unfair which caused income loss.
Apple has expelled Fortnite from the App Store after Epic Games added its own payment system to pass Apple.
A separate payment mechanism means that the epic game does not need to pay the commission to Apple at all, something that truly opposes the iPhone maker policy.
