Jammu: Towards Independence Day, a large tragedy is avoided when security forces seize an improvised explosive device of four sticky bombs from a man in the Poonch Jammu District and Kashmir on Friday, police officials said.
In the information provided by the border security force, the police inspection party, BSF and the Army was deployed in Morh Kotan in the district, additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Jamu Zone, said Mukesh Singh.
During checking, suspicious people were arrested and during his search, Ied was attached to four sticky bombs and 10,500 Rs confiscated from ownership, he said.
The man, identified as Mehmood Hussain from the Poonch Kasbalari region, was arrested, officials said.
With this a large tragedy in front of independence day avoided, they added.
