Gurgaon: The forest department has been asked the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) to examine programs for tree felling on the grounds of ecological consequences prior to sending them.
In an letter to the MCG commissioner, the division of the deputy conservator of forests has repeatedly stated that trees have been cut due to the civic body’s choice to raise floor area ratio (FAR) and let four flooring on residential plots using a supply of stilt parking.
The forest department asked MCG to create a nodal officer to properly go through the software for tree felling and just then forwards it for approval.
“The officer must evaluate the shrub permission employed from the occupants and examine if the petition for shrub is in tandem with the accepted program for green cover across the streets escape of the home sector.
Just such programs could be employed to the majority of trees into the forest department that are based on accepted green/tree cover to the residential industry,” stated the letter, written a week.
Many residents declared that in several instances, trees had been uprooted with no forest department’s approval.
“Trees have been felled in the title of stilt parking keeping with all the brand new construction standards.
Officials scarcely go to the regions to confirm if the trees really have to get trimmed or never,” said Anand Kumar, a DLF resident.
The forest division’s letter stated licenced colonies along with HSVP industries had green straps which acted as a pillow against contamination.
“The current increment from FAR from the home sectors has led to four-storey constructions in one housing plot together with stilt parking around the earth floor.
The supply of stilt parking has caused many fold growth of software to tree felling and the rationale is that each and every floor proprietor has another parking facility with another gate for entry/exit in the centre.
The supply of permissions for its various gate access to exactly the exact residential premises would lead to reduction of tree cover across streets and are also a violation of the developmental program of the stated region,” the letter stated.
