Nagpur: Corporate Guarantee of Nagpur City To Increase Door-To-Door Waste Collection It seems that it will appear.
With two private companies – BVG India and Limited Environmental Ag – Failed to send goods, there are 181 black spots where residents dispose of garbage in Open.In 2019, when NMC replaces Kindergarten Management Limited with two companies, it shows the intention to improve Door garbage collection to doors but in vain.
Due for irregular garbage collection, Toi finds Dharampeth, Laxmi Nagar, Hanuman Nagar and Nehru Nagar Zone with the black spots.
Piles of garbage in this area bear testimony to incompetent services from two companies and also lack of effective monitoring by NMC.
Even the study of NMC solid waste management saw most of the black spots in South-West and West Assembly Assembly Nagpur with Laxmi Nagar and the Dhrampeth zone had 42 locations each where residents allegedly disposed of garbage.
Gandhibagh has 28 black spots, Zone Satranjipura 18, Nehru Nagar Zone 12, Zone Mangalwari 8, Zone Dhantoli 8 and Zona Ashi Nagar 8.
There are two reasons that can be understood why people throw garbage in the open – both outside the habit or because irregularities in garbage collection door-to-door.
One area like garbage along the roadside is Shatabdi Nagar.
Local residents told the Toi that Enviro work workers visited their homes once a week.
Despite many complaints, the Nagar Hanuman zone and local Corporator Nagesh Masckar did nothing to solve this problem, they accused and therefore, people in the region have begun to dispose of garbage in the open plot in the area.
“The majority of people keep throwing garbage.
In the open.
Wild dogs and livestock chew these bags and spread the garbage across the street,” said Naresh Sawarkar, a local resident.
“Someone can’t walk past this stretch of almost 200 meters without Cover the face, “said Sameer, another resident.
Similar is the story of Prabhag number 14 in the Dharampeth zone.
Here too, garbage transport vehicles come twice a week, say residents.
So, here too, residents dispose of garbage in the open, acknowledging SWM officials Dharampeth Zone.
At present, the place has turned into a mini dumping page, forcing residents to live in an unhygienic environment.
NMC has the power to punish those who create black spots but who will punish two private companies for their ineffectity, ask residents.
Shiv Sena Leader Nitin Tiwari, which exposes garbage waste, says NMC can collect a fine of Rs 100 per vehicle because it does not collect and transport garbage door to the door.
“The number of minimal penalties and therefore there is a large scale irregularity in lifting door-to-door waste,” said Tiwari.
The agreement and terms and conditions are prepared by supporting the two companies, the source of the junk lifting company claim.
