Hacaribag: The day after a six-day long giring by Raiats (farmers and landowners) ended in the NTPC coal siding in Banadag here, officials on Monday said the company caused RS 30 crore losses due to derailing coal delivery.
Since October 5, Raiats has been sitting with an unlimited stirring on the roadside with several demands.
It ended on Sunday for hours after the confrontation of violence with district administrative officials.
M V Reddy, Executive Director of the Pakri Coal Mining Project Barwadih NTPC, said, “We face a big loss with Rs 30 Crore tones.” By stating that coal shipments were simplified after stirring, he said, “On Sunday night, we sent one coal to the NTPC thermal power plant.” Deputy Commissioner Aditya Kumar Anand said they made an effort to increase the delivery of the banadag siding to refill shares in various power plants.
On Raiat’s demands, Anand said, “31 their demands, 14 have been agreed upon after a meeting with the agitator delegation.
NPTC has been asked to ensure the earliest fulfillment.” After negotiations, 17 people were arrested after Sunday clashes were released with a guarantee.
