Bhubaneswar: A Dharna by Member of the University of Odisha University Association from the University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is looking for the fulfillment of the Charter of Request 18 points, including reforms in direct recruitment and career progress schemes (CAS), entering the 84 days on Sundays Teachers and Oat’s scientists, their Constituent College, Research Center and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK) throughout the country protested in front of their respective institutes after working hours (from 5:30 a.m.).
The teacher on the Main Campus was sitting in Dharna in front of the Chancellor’s deputy office.
Association President Sanjay Kumar Mohanty said Ouat earlier following the Grants University (UGC) commission guidelines for direct recruitment and promotion (CAS) for teachers / scientists / specialist key material KVKS, Professor and Dean.
However, after 2020, OUAT began following the Guidelines for the Indian Agriculture Research Council (ICAR) / Agricultural Scientist (ASRB) recruitment agency for direct recruitment and promotion.
“The UGC guidelines are suitable for us and we are promoted in time.
But the ICAR guidelines are not in accordance with the sign.
Scientists who work in KVK face difficulties to meet the ICAR criteria for CAS,” Mohanty said.
He said they had started their protest from November 1 last year.
