Kolkata: BJP on Wednesday said it was not permitted by the police to campaigned for the election of Bhowanipore in the area near the head of thinking about Banerjee Mamata.
The BJP President of Sukanta Majumdar claimed that they were prevented to campaigning on Jalan Chatterjee Harish which led to Banerjee’s residence, which is also a candidate at Bypoll.
He alleged that the police stopped the BJP campaign because TMC was afraid to lose the September 30 election.
Rubbing, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Akash Magharia said, “They do not have a vaccination certificate and they try to violate the high security zone which is why they are transferred from the road.” MP BJP Jyotirmay Singh Mahato and Magharia are involved in the spat on the spot.
Mahano claimed that they adhere to the number of people determined by the Election Commission for the Door-To-Door campaign, but the police said that there were more people in the group.
“TMC has been afraid and does not let BJP campaign, but people will break the barricade,” Majumdar, who then campaigned at the end of the road, told reporters.
He accused the police kolkata from bias against the opposition political party.
“The professionalism of West Bengal police and Kolkata police has been destroyed,” he said.
Majumdar said that the steps would be taken over this problem after discussion in the party.
Prospective BJP Priyanka Tibrewal, which was pitted against Banerjee at Bhowanipore, claimed that he was prevented to campaigning on the road on Tuesday even though he had the necessary permits.
“There are voters on the road and even though they have permission, why can’t I or parties we go there to campaign?” He asked, claiming that TMC leaders in power campaigned freely in the area.
