Stop the symbolic opposition against the top caste, Dalit will not get anything from it: Limbe

Saraswati Samman, who is institutionalized by the Birla Foundation KK, is considered the highest recognition in the field of Indian literature.
Limbale received this award for the 2018 Marathi novel.
He faced criticism from the Sastra Dalit scenario to receive the award named Dewi Saraswati.
“Refusing award named Saraswati also likes to accept this fantasy whereabouts.
I have received this national award in recognition of my literary contribution in the past four decades.
When I received this honor, it helped in taking dalit literature to the national level,” Limbe said.
While talking about the term ‘Dalit’, he said he felt proud to be called as Dalit writer.
“Dalit said he did not represent the caste or community, but it represents a condition.
Even the Brahmin who was deprived could be Dalit,” he said, adding that there was a need to end the difference between Dalit and the mainstream literature.
He also said that there were many differences in Dalit and conflict writers killed the spirit of strong Dalit literature during the 1960s and 1970s.
Limbale was the second Dalit writer in several times to express the view after Padmashri Awardee Namdeo Kambun.
In the first program that was physically held after the Covid crisis, VSS President Manohar Mhaisalkar Felicated Limbale.
