Mullasiyar dam in Idukki district in Kerala, is owned and managed by the government of Tamil Nadu, has a 51% deposit.
Log in to the dam is 5926 cusec.
Heavy rainfall in Kanyakumari district has produced Pechipparai and Perunchani dam and storage respectively with 87% and 91%.
However, the flood waters began to recede from the low lying residential areas and agricultural land in and around Thamirabarani, Kodayar, Burliyar and Palaiyaru.
89.8 mm rainfall against the average recorded in the district of Kanyakumari in 24 hours till 8 am, only 9.41 mm of rainfall recorded from Sunday morning to Monday morning.
None of the rain gauges recorded rainfall of more than 21 mm.
Overall, 391 people from 123 families, including 177 women, 152 men and 62 children were evacuated to rescue shelters in the district until Sunday night.

Bananas and tapioca plantations can be saved because the water has begun to flow.
