Pune: Kothrud MLA and BJP President of the State Chandrakan on Saturday told the authorities of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) to streamline the traffic movement at Chandni Chowk and accelerate elevated work to reduce the difficulties faced by passenger.

Patil suggested increasing the existence of traffic guards in the main locations to manage traffic flow in addition to repairing the earliest holes.
Patil examined the ongoing flyover work and suggested measures to reduce the hassles and traffic jams.
He said, “The authorities are asked to work at four points in priority.
This includes a hole repair, the spread of additional traffic guards on the road from Bavdhan to the main highway, improving the side path and accelerating the acquisition of land needed for the project.” Nhai is building a flyover and expands the access road at Chandni Chowk at Bypass Jalan Katraj-Dehu which is part of the national highway.
Regular commuters have faced traffic snarl because of the ongoing work.
Stretching roads in Chandani Chowk have developed many holes.
Patil said that instructions have been spent to repair holes in priority.
Work can be taken at night when the vehicle flow remains relatively lacking, he said.
