Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Saturday said that strict action will be taken against government officials who will be found involved in the Nexus of illegal sand mining in the state.
Responding to the query in illegal sand mining and the alleged Nexus between civil servants and sand traders, Nitish said strict actions would be taken against the state government and mistaken police officials.
He said the state police and related departments have initiated an investigation into government officials allegedly involved in the Nexus.
“All DMS and SPS have been given instructions to maintain the right vigil in their respective districts and ensure effective checks on illegal sand mining from different rivers,” Nitish said.
CM talks with media people on the sidelines of the transportation department event in the state capital here.
The state government recently transferred around 20 government officials, including SPS, because of their alleged Nexus with sand traders in the state.
