Ankara, Turkey: Strong earthquake hit the Turkish Mediterranean coast on Tuesday, said the Turkish disaster management agency.
There are no direct reports of damage or victims.
The Directorate of Disaster and Emergency Management Turkey said the earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 reached around 155 kilometers (96 miles) from the City of Kas Resort, in Antalya Province, at 8:32 a.m.
Turkey sits above big mistakes and frequent earthquakes.
At least 17,000 people died in a strong earthquake in northwest Turkey in 1999.
