“Mariners are advised to stay in the port or take refuge in the port to the wind and waves subside,” the Administration of the Philippine Atmospheric Service, Geophysics and Astronomy.
The current forecast is that it is most likely to hit Taiwan’s east coast on Sunday morning, with the potential to hit the island if he is more nail west, or misses it completely if he turns east.
Taiwan’s midface bureau has issued a typhoon warning when tracking a storm.
Bureau said high waves are expected along the south coast of Taiwan and in the Bashi channel between the southern end and the northernmost island in the Philippines.
