Stuck at home, many women in Karnataka face abuse

MySuru: A Mysuru woman who faced emotional abuse in her marriage had a speech problem.
In Dharwad, activists find men’s examples persecute their wife after becoming unemployed or struggling with alcohol withdrawal.

Ramela Shekhar, a mental health professional in Mangaluru, in many families, women are constantly asked to meet the needs of each member.
“Women experience more stress than before,” he said.
