LONDON: Matteo Berrettini became the first Italian to reach the Wimbledon Singles final on Friday with a four-set victory against Hubert Hurkacz.
Berrettini claims 6-3, 6-0, 6-7 (3/7), 6-4 victory over Poland opponents who have knocked down eight champions Roger Federer in the quarter-finals.
The world number nine studies will face Novak Djokovic or Denis Shapovalov in the final Sunday where he will try to be the first champion of Italian men since Adriano Panatta in 1976 the French Open.
