Letter: A 19-year-old student from the Diploma in Information and Technology was arrested by the police on Wednesday for allegedly looting a car from the Vesu City area.
The defendant was arrested along with his girlfriend with detection of Sleuth Crime Branch (DCB) which also recovered vehicles looted near Boriyach Toll Plaza of Navsari.
The police arrested Kashyap Banhaniya, a resident of the Puna area, while his girlfriend was allowed to leave because he was not part of a booty plan.
Police restored Rs 2.26 lakh cash from the car.
Banhaniya told the police that he planned to settle at Kanpur with his girlfriend and he looted the car.
The complainant in this case, Manoj Jain has gone to buy drugs in Arcade Charges in Vesu.
He had parked a car on the road, while his 77-year-old father, Kapchand Jain, sat in the car.
Suddenly, Banhaniya opened the car door and sat in the driver’s seat.
He told the Kapturtan to go down.
However, when the elderly man refused and put a vehicle to prevent booty, Bihaniya began driving a car.
Worried he would be kidnapped, Kapturchand came out of a moving car and in the process of suffering injury.
Then, the defendant took his girlfriend from a distance and the duo went to Navsari at the National Highway 48.
The police had watched on the highway and the car stopped at Boriyach Toll Plaza.
“Everything to marry his classmates, but their families disagree to see their young age.
They come from caste and the same family members told them to complete the study before settling,” said a crime branch officer.
Duo has developed friendship a few months ago.
For him, the son of diamond artisan, invested in stock, said the police.
