Mysuru: A day after the Department of College of Education (DCE) for a while stopped the acceptance process for the first year’s degree program to further orders, in the first grade of government and private universities assisted by the government, prospective students who remove the new PU II final exam -Nu, and their parents are a lot of confused.
Universities without personal assistance continue the receipt process, although there is no official information about the structure of the course and combination by the state government, which wants to implement 2020 National Education Policy (NEP), from this academic year.
The University of Mysore (UOM) Representative of Chancellor G Hemantha Kumar stated that the class for first year courses will begin in October, and no universities are allowed to begin the current acceptance process.
According to its original schedule, the first grade of government and private universities assisted by the government should begin the receipt for the first year course from Wednesday.
However, it was delayed based on orders issued by DCE.
Commissioner DCEep P pradeep told that the date was issued accidentally.
“The right date will be announced soon,” he told Toi.
However, private universities without help continue the receipt process.
According to students, with most of them securing good grades in PU II Final Exam, there is a big demand for all courses.
“College asks us to be accepted immediately, by paying a full fee.
The majority of students planning to join the General Degree course, have paid fees and are accepted,” said a student.
Uom authorities explained that the first year’s degree course would begin only in October.
No college is allowed to begin the current acceptance process, because the combination has not been resolved.
“We don’t even discuss a combination for college.
Colleges are collecting token fees and confirming chairs.
This year we launched a four degree program in all universities, with outgoing options for students after the third year,” said Hemantha Kumar.
