Students are excited, management is maintained

Vadodara / Rajkot / Surat: As an offline learning for students in grade 6 to 8 starting from Thursday, schools across the country witnessed a mix response from parents and students.
While some schools still collect the consent of the parents, many of which start classes.
In Vadodara, excitement writ large on the faces of students when they step back in their classrooms after a gap of nearly 18 months.
The school also ensures that moment back to school remains to be special.
Many schools in Vadodara and Surat welcome students with flowers and knock ‘Dhol’.
The schools begin classes with strict guidelines and management of some schools have even formed a team to ensure that the social distance is maintained at all points and the students lit up.
Cleanser dispensers are placed every few meters to the students.
“About 40% of students present on the first day and we followed the guidelines issued by the government such as maintaining social humiliation in the classroom and ensure that students have their masks at all times except when they play,” said Suprabha Menon, Principal Navrachana, Sama , “We are excited and anxious at the same time the students will experience the school environment after a hiatus long.

In Rajkot, 89 schools run by Rajkot Municipal Corporation and 486 private schools watched as about 65% of the physical presence of students on the first day.
“There are many schools will start class offline in the next few days.
Schools on the first day to work for one to three hours in which they warmed up and held a meeting with the parents,” said B S Kaila, Officer Education District Rajkot.
Schools have been keeping separate recess for each class to ensure that students do not gather in large numbers.
“Once the online education for nearly 18 months, we give students time to adjust to the offline mode.
About 90% of teachers in private schools are vaccinated and we try to ensure that all staff are non-teaching also vaccinated,” said D v Mehta, owner of a private school , “More than 70% of students grades 6 to 8 present on Thursday.

In most schools there is no academic work done on the first day.
