Louisville: Drive-by shooting at the school bus stop Wednesday morning in Kentucky left a dead student and the other was hospitalized, police said.
The third child was injured by an unknown way when the young men waited at the bus stop west of Louisville City, the authorities said.
A car drove and shot in children waiting, some of which were not injured, Louisville Metro Police major Shatnon Lauder said during a press conference.
He asked the public to advance with information about the shooting.
“We had children who couldn’t even wait at this bus stop without being shot and it was terrible and destroyed and we would throw all our resources to find out who did this,” he said.
Jepreferson County Schools School spokesman Renee Murphy said the bus, who picked up students attending East Middle School, arrived at times after the shooting.
He said the district would provide extra resources for families and students at Highnn High.
