Students of Ihiest Lone Afghanistan to be awarded the MTech title

Kolkata: When the final semester of MTech was announced on Friday, Matullah Hussainzai would be among the candidates who would complete their PG study in Ihies, Shibpur.
From Kabul, Matullah is a Single Afghan student who took the entrance ticket to Mtech in Civil Engineering at the Institute in July 2019.
One of the most popular boys in his class, Matiullah, who returned to Kabul on October 2020 and attended the online class there, has left his tense teacher about his welfare considering the current situation.
The tall, friendly and handsome boy protrudes in the middle of the crowd, not only because of his appearance but also because he is always ready to help his friends and teachers even in strange hours.
This made him selected as representatives of PG students from the public for civil engineering in Ihies.
“He is a type that is always present in the class, hand over his duties on time, do the test well and still have enough time to participate in social activities.
He did not understand Bengali but his English was immaculate.
We are all very happy with him,” Ambaria Ghosh said , Head of the Civil Engineering Department.
Since news problems began to flow from Afghanistan, his teacher had called him in his Kabul number to find out how he was and his family had.
The ring was missed but fortunately on Wednesday, he answered whatsapp message that said he was fine and hoped that the results would come out on time, making his teacher somewhat relieved.
Matullah comes with an ICCR exchange program and is adjusted to life on the Shibpur campus like a local.
He lives in hostels and eat foods by other students.
The Department faculty continued to oversee his welfare and found that he met with the preparation of a local fish and Bengali like other boys and insisted that there were no special arrangements for him.
As a MTech student here, he specializes in the field of transportation engineering and submits his thesis on sidewalk evaluations.
Matiullah worked for his thesis under two civil engineering faculties, Pritam Saha and Sandip Chakraborty.
“During the tight locking phase, when other students return home, we made our international students on campus.
Matullah stayed back and attended an online class from the hostel.
But when things subsided a little, he asked permission to return to Kabul and join Classes from there, “Ghosh added.
He will join the class every day from Kabul between 9am and 5pm.
Until the third semester, the CGPA remained above 7.5 and the faculty believed that he would maintain the standard this time.
