Hyderabad: Students from Telangana studied at Delhi University and various other educational institutions along with several unemployed young men held Dharna on Friday in front of Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi.
They demanded that all employees at Telangana Bhavan must be from a new country (Telangana).
Of the total 74 employees who worked on outsourcing, only four of them came from Telangana and the rest of the other state, especially North India.
All posts in Telangana Bhavan must be filled with locals from the state, they demand.
The Association of Telangana Students Delhi President Vivek Reddy told TII that the majority of the people working in Kerala and Bhavan in other countries in New Delhi came from their respective countries.
“It was only in Telangana Bhavan that injustice had been moored to the local population.
The purpose in which the State of Telangana was achieved if the locals did not even get outsourcing work in Telangana Bhavan, New Delhi,” he said.
The former Parliament Member of Conda Vishweshwar Reddy extended his support to the students.
“Just talking to Telangana students in Delhi.
They blocked the Telangana Bhavan gate protest.
There are 74 employees at Telangana Bhavan Delhi.
Only four Telangana employees and the rest of the AP and other countries.
Is this the Telangana we stand for? #KCR failed,” Vishweshwar Reddy tweeted.
Resident Commissioner Telananga Bhavan Gaurav Uppal told Ti that students were under the wrong impression that all employees were employed after the establishment of the Telangana state.
“This employee works based on outsourcing employed from time to time scattered for several years in the past.
While the majority of regular employees in Bhavan come from Telangana, those who work outsourcing most of Hindi-speaking countries,” he said.
