Lucknow: A Lucknow University student has appealed to LU authority to reduce the cost of the course and not charge for facilities that are not used by students.
Shivangi Trivedi from the Supreme Court (Social Work) has appealed in a 50-second video uploaded on Twitter.
He said that because Covid, the financial condition of a number of families was less affected and people were under great pressure.
Therefore, it is not only in student interest but also for the benefit of the community that you must reduce costs.
Video students are retweeted more than 50 times and get support from several students who repeat their demands.
“Universities save other costs such as power supply and other maintenance services.
We also do not use laboratories, libraries and sports facilities.
Why do we have to pay for them,” Shivangi told Toi.
All Indian student associations and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad also supported Shivangi.
“You have to learn from RAM Manohar Lohia Lawah National University that has cut costs by Rs17,000 for utility fees,” said Bcom student Arihant Shekhar.
Lu Durgesh spokesman Srivastava said, “We have charged a very low fee of students.”
