City: Two people were killed and one more injured critically in the city district, when their bicycles rose control and crashed into dividers, police said on Friday.
The incident took place on Thursday night when the three friends drove the Enfield bullet met with an accident while getting down on the DCM flyover, allegedly while doing bicycle actions, they said.
The deceased was identified as Chandan Rathore (26) area of DCM and Shiva Kumawat (30) from the Prem Nagar region, while those injured were identified as Rahul Panchal from Govind Nagar, police said.
The deceased’s bodies were handed over to their family members after postmortem on Friday morning, and those who were injured were still unconscious and undergoing treatment.
According to Udhyog Nagar Police Station Sho Manoj Singh Sikarwal, Shiva rode a motorcycle while her two friends, Chandan and Rahul, drove a divider with lips.
The three were thrown from a bicycle and continued a critical head injury, he said.
They were sent to the hospital, where the doctor stated Chandan and Shiva was taken dead, he added.
The third friend, Rahul, suffered a serious injury in the incident and his condition was still said to be critical, he said.
Cases have been registered in the relevant section and investigations are ongoing to collect more information about the incident, said Sikarwal.
The motorcycle belongs to Shiva, who holds a Diploma in Polytechnic and recently gets a job in a private company, he added.
