Bhubaneswar: The recently formed Odisha Police Recruitment Board (OPRB) will not only make the recruitment of the new sub-inspector (SI) this year, but also requested by the government to take over the delayed jobs of 2018 and 2019 from the Odisha Staff Election Commission (OSSC).
OSSC has recruited the SI since 1994.
After 27 years, the state government formed the OPR to recruit SIS due to OSSC failure and the delay that was not tested in conducting timely tests.
OSSC has not completed the recruitment of SI, advertisements published in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
In fact, the OSSC itself recently applied for the government to submit a delayed recruitment allegations to the OPR.
“We will make SI recruitment for Batch 2017.
We have done a written test.
But the further phases of the exam are postponed because of certain technical problems, including Covid-19 pandemic.
We will complete the recruitment of 2017.
Because we cannot start the recruitment process for the collection 2018 and 2019, OPR will now hold their tests, “said Chairman of Ossc Nirmal Chandra Mishra to Ti.
OPRB, who is preparing to recruit 2021 SI, will soon appear with the exam date for applicants, who have registered in 2018 and 2019.
“We have asked the OSSC to share details from the applicant two before years.
We will first complete Batch recruitment 2018 and 2019 before holding a 2021 test, “said a senior OPR official.
OPRB has planned tentatively to conduct candidate tests of the 2021 between August 8 and 16.
However, the recruitment delayed cast shadows on the new one.
Unlike the OSSC recruitment procedure, which is used to involve several test rounds, the new test pattern framed by the OPR aims to accelerate SIS selection.
For the first time, the Board has introduced technology in the appointment process.
Applicants will be asked to write letters through computer-based recruitment checks.
Viva Voce has been done.
SIS will be selected after a written and physical test.
