PANAJI: All serious parties defeat BJP in the election of the State Assembly must rule out their personal differences and unite, said GFP President Vijai Sardesai is here on Saturday.
Sardesai, who met with the West Bengali Bengal Minister Mamata Banerjee at the Goa International Center, said that the delay by opposition parties to be with BJP benefits together.
At the same time, Sardesai said that the convergence of the same-minded parties was a suitable approach and not the merger of regional parties.
He said the GFP would discuss and consider Banerjee’s offer before making a decision, but warned that any party who thought it could oppose alone selection operating in the fake bravado.
“Only with the opposition association, can we fulfill the wishes of the people.
All serious parties do this must maintain their differences and ego and gather together,” Sardesai said.
“Our assessment is that but the big and popular parties think themselves, no single party can confirm BJP defeat.” The former Deputy Minister of Main Meets Banerjee along with his party, Mlaas Jayesh Salgaonkar and Vinod Palencar, the President of the GFP Workers Krira Kandolkar and Secretary General for the affairs of the Durgada Kormat organization.
“More and more parties are postponed and playing, the more people will be frustrated and more BJP opportunities are back.
Our unity efforts have been mocked and ignored, but we are determined to create a strong power to deal with the sake of Goa,” Sardesai said.
The GFP inched towards TMC two weeks ago, but the talks suddenly broke down, pushed Sardesai to continue talks with Congress.
While no clear decision was taken by one of the parties, Sardesai was interested in forging an alliance with Congress so that anti-BJP voting was not divided.
“I’ve talked about ‘Goa Team’ for two years now and I have said many times that all the same-minded parties must unite to overcome muscle strength and the power of money that will be displayed by BJP,” Sardesai said.
“Mamata understands the urgent need for unity in Goa.
So, we have some of the same places in this matter.”
