IISC on Monday signed a partnership with Susmita and Subroto Bagchi, and Radha and NS Parthasarathy, to build buildings, to be named “Bagchi-Parthasarathy Hospital”.
This will be designed by Ahmedabad based architects, Consultants Archi Medes (i) Pvt Ltd.
The academic center of this initiative will be an integrated dual MD-PhD program aimed at creating new types of scientists “who will pursue careers in clinical research to develop new care and health solutions, driven by Bench-to-Bedside philosophy” .
They will be trained simultaneously in hospitals and in science laboratories and techniques at IISC.
The total estimated cost of making hospitals and medical schools is Rs 900 Crore.
