Coimbatore: The District Administration plans to distribute Rs 1.8 Crore subsidies to 325 people to start their own business and trade activities under the unemployed generation of youth employment programs (UYEGP).
Administration has invited applications from people who are interested in taking advantage of the opportunity.
Everyone over 18 years old and studied up to Class VIII qualify.
The maximum age of the general category of people has been repaired at 35 years and 45 years for the special category.
Women, Adi Dravidars, tribes, backward classes, most backward classes, people with disabilities and transgender people are under a special category.
Trades and business proposed under the scheme must have an investment of less than Rs 15 lakh to manufacturing units that qualify for the scheme.
For trading and service oriented industries, investment must reach Rs 5 Lakh.
“Usually, training programs and personnel interviews will be conducted to select the right candidate.
However, due to restrictions Covid-19 and to encourage businesses to start at the beginning, there will be no training program or an interview this year,” said an official.
