Silchar: The police took a large consignment of subsidized fertilizer from an illegal warehouse in Damcherra in Borkhola in Cachar District on Tuesday night.
A senior police officer said the police team, based on specific information, invaded illegal Godown in Damcherra on Tuesday night and won 1,500 subsidized urea sacks.
In addition, three trucks loaded with 600 urea sacks were confiscated and their driver was arrested.
The driver arrested, identified as Ainul Haque, Bilal Hussain and Fapuque Ahmed, told the police that they contained fertilizer in Damcherra and would give the same to Mizoram.
