Mumbai: As the case of Coronavirus, the highlands, Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday said his government is considering continuing suburban train services in Mumbai for all commuters and decisions in this case will be taken with responsibility.
Thackeray, speaking at the inauguration of the new city building in Mumbai, praised the Civic Mumbai body, saying it has succeeded in limiting the spread of Covid-19 in the metropolis city.
Mumbai has reported less than 500 Coronavirus cases every day for the past three weeks.
The minister’s chairman said the resumption of train services on the outskirts of the city in Mumbai for all being considered and the government would make decisions about the problem with full responsibility.
Suburban train services in the metropolis were suspended for the general public in April this year because of the second wave of the Pandemic Coronavirus.
At present, only government employees and important service staff are permitted to travel by local trains.
He said Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), which was ruled by Shiv Sena, has succeeded in limiting the spread of Covid-19.
During the pandemic, BMC did not falter in his responsibility to provide services to citizens, Thackeray said.
“Relaxation of coronavirus restrictions will be given anywhere possible.
The Mumbai model (Coronavirus management) is praised during a pandemic and slums such as Dharavi has defeated the virus,” he said.
CM urges people to continue to follow the appropriate Covid-19 behavior.
Previously on that day, the State Minister for Raosaheb Dave Railway said local train services would be available for ordinary people in Mumbai once again if the state government submitted a proposal for that effect.
