Planned demonstrations on Saturday are mostly organized by informal groups known as “resistance committees” in the neighbors and cities throughout the country who emerged during anti-Bashir demonstrations in 2019.
The Committee has called for many protests since the coup and crowd through Text messages and mobilize through text messages.

But it does not include members of the power for freedom and change (FFC), the umbrella alliance that pioneered anti-Bashir 2019 protests, and the main block calling for the transition to civilian government.
The United Nations has criticized the latest military “unilateral” steps, while Western countries say it “makes it difficult to put the Sudanese Democratic transition back to the track”.
“Troika (Norway, Britain, United States), the European Union and Switzerland are very worried about the appointment of the Sudan Sovereign Board,” they said on Friday.
The statement called for the recovery of Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, who was detained for a while and then placed under house arrest after the military takeover.
