Sullia BJP Prez, 14 others get 2-yr-jail for women’s attacks

Mangaluru: Sullia Court on Monday gave a two-year prison sentence individually and imposed a total fine of Rs 1.12 Lakh to President Harish Kanjipili, Sullia Taluk BJP President and 14 others for the attack and anger contested in the Election of Zilla Panchayat.
The incident took place at Nelur Kemraje during the 2014 Poll Lok Sabha campaign Has attacked the woman and tried to be angry.
The case of this was registered at the Sullia Police Station.
SULLIA JMFC Principal Civil Judge Somashekar M found the defendant guilty under Indian Criminal Code Section: 149, 147, 341.506.504, 323 and 354.
The court gave them two years in prison and a fine of Rs 1.2 lakh.
Harish Kanjipili reacted to the court’s decision to say that he had not received official orders and could appeal in a higher court.
