New Delhi: Delhi Police Special Cell on Sunday Catch the Mastery and Creator of the Application of ‘Sulli Deals’ from New York City Township of Indore.
Ombeshwar Thakur, which was accused of (25), son of Akhilesh Thakur, was arrested from the B3 Row House of the Township after he acknowledged his involvement in the creation of the application.
“Omkareshwar Thakur is a member of the trading group on Twitter made for Muslim women trolls,” said DCP KPS Malhotra, Fusion Intelligence and Strategic Operations (IFSO), Delhi Police Special Cells.
During the introduction interrogation, the defendant acknowledged that he was a member of the Trad Group on Twitter and the idea was distributed to slander and Muslim women.
The application made in July last year, created a large controversy to target Muslim women and upload their images to be auctioned.
“We have received confirmation from Delhi Polda about the arrest of Omkareshwar Thakur in connection with the mobile application ‘Sulli Deals’,” said Deputy Police Commissioner (Zone-1) to Ti.
He said that the defendant was an IT professional and worked as a ‘freelancer’.
“We coordinate with Delhi police on arrests, and seeking input to track other people involved in the same nature of the crime,” Tolani added.
The defendant was captured by Fusion Intelligence and Delhi Police Special Cell Strategic Operations based on information received from the creator of the captured ‘Bicli Bai’ application recently, said the source.
